A resource for construction students (Level 1 and 2) focusing on the presentation and relevance of practical skills, specifically joinery and carpentry, plastering, brickwork and painting and decorating. It bridges the gap between real tasks and classroom activities by means of short video clips of interviews with young workers in the construction industry at work, and short clips of real tasks being carried out on the construction site. The resource was developed by Cwmni Cynnal on behalf of Welsh Government. It is also avalable through the HWB website.

Emile Durkheim was the first to hold a university chair in sociology, and his ideas remain of fundamental importance to all who want to understand the origins of the subject. He adopted the image of society as an organism, each part of which has a particular role to play in ensuring the well-being of the whole body. His ideas include an analysis of the social origins of religion, in particular the suggestion that any religious worship is 'worship of society'; its emphasis on what he called 'anomie' as the root of dispute and unrest in the life of an individual and society; and his original and important study of suicide as a social phenomenon. His influence is seen in fields as diverse as criminology on the one hand and literary criticism on the other.

A collection of resources suitible for lecturers and trainees to facilitate the teaching and learning of Welsh second language across the primary education sector. The range of language mats can be used as a basis for lectures, as a practical guide to using every day language, and as an aid to ensure accuracy when preparing worksheets, murals and writing modelling.  Cynllun Colegau Cymru no longer exists. It was replaced by the Language Competency Framework for Education Practitioners in 2018. This is the Framework that will has been adopted to measure the language skills of all trainees on Initial Teacher Education courses. The language tasks and activities in the material below are still relevant, but the specific references to the levels and steps of the Cynllun Colegau Cymru are not. 

A series of short video clips featuring Welsh speakers working in occupations relevant to business modules in Higher and Further Education.  The individuals featured in the clips come from a variety of business backgrounds, including marketing, management and tourism. The clips are designed to be incorporated by lecturers in their lectures. They can also be used for recruitment purposes. These resources are learning packs with the aim of developing students' knowledge, based on realistic situations. The packs contribute to specific modules at the University of South Wales School of Nursing, but can also be used by students from other universities studying any branch of Nursing through the medium of Welsh. They could also be useful to others interested in the field.
