These live revision webinars are organized by the Coleg Cymraeg Cenedlaethol for year 12 and 13 students studying AS / A Level Welsh (First Language). The sessions will be hosted by lecturers from the Welsh departments of Bangor, Aberystwyth, Swansea and Cardiff universities and other academics, with the aim of enhancing your understanding of some of the literature topics you are studying in class. The sessions will be held in Welsh through Zoom between 4.30-5.30pm on Wednesday afternoons, with the first session on Wednesday 1 March 2023. The Coleg's Awards 2023
The Coleg presents several awards to brilliant individuals during the year, either for outstanding work, achievement or contribution in further education colleges, universities, and apprenticeship settings. Would you like to nominate someone who has made a difference in your organisation? The Awards Night offers a great opportunity to recognize their work and contribution. These prizes are awarded by a panel of Coleg officers and external members, and will be presented to the winners at the Coleg’s Awards Night in June 2023. Science Conference 2023 (Welsh Medium)
The Science Conference aims to provide an opportunity for scientists to showcase their research in Welsh. Providing a space to discuss science in Welsh has been integral to Coleg Cymraeg Cenedlaethol since its inception, and the conference is going from strength to strength, with a wide range of topics being discussed, from designing a new drug to microplastics! This year for the first time it will be hosted as a hybrid conference in the Council Room, National Library of Wales, on Thursday 15 June 2023. The conference will be hosted in Welsh and simultaneous translation service will be available. To register for the conference please follow the link below. Agricultural Conference 2023
A conference for learners in further education colleges and first year students at university studying agriculture. The event will include workshops on subjects that are part of the students' field work. The conference is free and includes tea, coffee and lunch. Cyffro Cyfryngau
The 'Cyffro Cyfryngau' videos show the experience of six people who work within the television industry. The videos focus on live broadcast programs showing the individuals working in their different areas namely make-up, camera, production, directing, editing and presenting. We hear about their passion for the profession and the pleasure they get out of the work; there is an emphasis on their pride in working in Wales and operating in Welsh. If you follow Drama, Media studies, Theatre Studies , Performing Arts courses then you will learn why the skill of using the Welsh language is so valuable in this area in Wales. The 'Antur Arlwyo' videos show the experience of six people who work in the catering and hospitality sector. The videos focus on different departments in the food industry workplace showing the individuals working in their specialist department. We will hear about their passion for the profession and the pleasure they get from working in the industry; there is an emphasis on their pride in working in Wales and operating bilingually.
