A music video that was commissioned by the Welsh Music Videos project, Aberystwyth University and supported by the Coleg Cymraeg. The resource is for all to enjoy by one of Wales’ most exciting young bands.

Sioned Dafydd, Sgorio - This conversation with the sports presenter, Sioned Dafydd, is for anyone who is interested in working in the sports communication sector. Sioned presents programmes and items on S4C's 'Sgorio' and on Sky Sport. She talks to Dr Non Vaughan Williams, senior lecturer in Media and Communication at Swansea University, about how the Welsh language (and studying through the medium of Welsh at university) has opened doors for her in the industry, her experience of being a sports female presenter, including the highlights and challenges of the job. Sport and Media Discussion - Gabriella Jukes, presenter on Sky Sport, international swimmer Medi Roberts, and Cathy Williams, Head of Communications and Engagement, Team Wales Commonwealth Games 2026. The panel discusses the challenges of preparing and presenting on the media and social media, and also of being on the other side of the discussion when dealing with the press and media as an athlete, content producer and as head of communications. They’re in discussion with Andrew Weeks, Lecturer at Cardiff University’s School of Journalism, Media, and Culture  

A series of videos introducing SPSS by Dr Awel Vaughan-Evans, Reader in Psychology at Bangor University. SPSS is a computer software used to collect, analyse, and interpret quantitative data using statistical methods. It can be used to analyse data from qualitative research methods such as surveys, interviews and focus groups by coding the qualitative information and turning it into quantitative data. These resources have been designed to support tutors to develop their bilingual teaching skills and increase their awareness of the Lifelong Learning Welsh Record (LLWR) and the LA26 data set. The data set is used to record Welsh and bilingual provision in the post-16 education sector in Wales. The aim of the resources is to give tutors confidence in the way activity completed in Welsh or bilingually is recorded on the LLWR, and to help tutors establish where their provision currently sits. They are also designed to give tutors practical advice on how to move their teaching up the bilingualism continuum. This tutor support pack includes: Handbook - a working document that can be used for reference, as well as to establish specific personal targets for increasing the Welsh/bilingual provision. Online e-learning course - Understanding the Welsh Lifelong Learning Record (LLWR). This interactive online learning module provides an overview of the Welsh Lifelong Learning Record (LLWR) and how it is used by the Welsh Government to record Welsh and bilingual provision in the post-16 education sector in Wales. This online resource was created for planning students who speak Welsh by lecturers from the School of Geography and Planning (GEOPL) at Cardiff University. The aim is to provide information and insight into being a planner in Wales. It contains four videos of Welsh speakers discussing different aspects of being a planner; working in Wales and/or using the Welsh language in the workplace. In addition, there are some links to written resources that may be useful.   The project team hope to continue developing the resource in the future.

Social Care Wales have worked with the sector to develop Essential Skills Wales resources to help with teaching and learning for Application of Number and Communication at Level 1 and 2. The resources have been designed to reflect real life work scenarios that you may come across in social care and cover different learning outcomes that you need to know to complete your Essential Skills Wales qualifications. The resources are not mandatory. You can do them all or just pick which ones will help you best. These resources are intended to support learning and so do not replace teaching or assessment activities. They have been designed to demonstrate where Essential Skills Wales skills are applied in practice settings and may not cover all learning outcomes fully.
