Machinery on the Farm
This resource, for post-16 Agriculture, horticulture and animal care learners, highlights the importance of machinery legislation on the farm. It demonstrates working principles and machinery preparation, looks at the environmental impact, and provides examples of post-operative procedures to minimise degeneration of machinery.
Animal Science
This HWB resource, suitable for Agriculture, horticulture and animal care learners, demonstrates the structure and functions of farm animal organs. It highlights the importance of their biological systems and the different breeding methods and reproductive technologies on the farm.
Echelgais (Welsh only)
A Welsh medium resource on the HWB website aimed at Post-16 learners, concentrating on 6 subject areas: Agriculture, Business, Drama, Leisure and Tourism, Health and Care and Early Years and the Media.
Beef Production
This interactive resource has been designed to provide information regarding beef production across the globe. The content has been divided into different units which concentrate on different aspects of beef production. The units contain student notes, teacher notes, interactive activities and videos.

Prentis-iaith: quiz to identify level
There are four different levels of the Prentis-iaith units:
- Ymwybyddiaeth - Awareness (for apprentices who currently have little or no Welsh language skills)
- Dealltwriaeth - Understanding (for apprentices who already have some Welsh language skills.)
- Hyder - Confidence (for apprentices who are keen to develop their confidence to use their Welsh in the workplace)
- Rhuglder - Fluency (for apprentices who are fluent in Welsh to assist them to use their Welsh in the workplace)

Prentis-iaith Understanding Level
These courses are for apprentices who already have some Welsh language skills. They enable apprentices to complete part of their qualification in Welsh. The first five units introduces the importance of the Welsh language as a skill for the workplace while the content of units 6 is tailored to different vocational subjects.
HOW TO USE THE RESOURCES?
Everyone will complete Units 1-5 General and then select the version that suits them for Unit 6. Unit 6 has additional versions that have been tailored to the following five specific vocational subjects:
- Healthcare
- Childcare
- Public Services
- Agriculture
- Construction
If you do not follow one of the above subjects, you will complete Unit 6 General.
WHICH LEVEL SHOULD YOU COMPLETE?
There are two levels of Prentis-iaith:
- Prentis-iaith Awareness Level (for apprentices that have little or no Welsh language skills)
- Prentis-iaith Understanding Level (for apprentices who already have some understanding of Welsh)

LEARNING PROVIDERS AND COLLEGES
These courses are also available via the learning portals of the main apprenticeship providers in Wales. Other providers wishing to make the courses available through their LMS should download the units from the zipfile that can be accessed below.
It is possible for learners to print certificates automatically after completeing each unit. Providers can also download versions below to manually fill in and award to students.

Industry Focus: Construction
This collection contains recorded conversations with prominent construction employers in Wales. The talks include introductions to the construction sector and the various methods used to develop new structures and protect old buildings. This collection aims to support schools and colleges that will teach new GCSEs and Foundation qualifications in construction, which will be available from September 2022.
The webinars are about 20 minutes long and have been scripted to cover the criteria as outline in the two new Construction qualifications. Technical knowledge of the field is shared and the construction industry comes to life in the classroom or college with the inclusion of real life projects that are underway or have been recently completed.

Bilingual teaching and learning pedagogy in the New Normal
A series of interactive e-learning resources developed to support tutors wishing to embed the Welsh language and to teach bilingually in an online learning environment. There is a choice of six different units, and each unit should take approximately one hour to complete.

Say it in Welsh
The following 'Say it in Welsh' resources have been developed by Addysg Oedolion Cymru|Adult Learning Wales tutors. They are a series of vocabulary lists, some are generic and can be used by all tutors and some are subject specific, e.g. Maths, Sewing, Digital Photography. These posters can be used in presentations such as Prezi or PowerPoint, laminated as classroom resources, used during induction, ice-breaker activities, refresher exercises, used in the Welsh word / s of the day and much more! One of the resources, ‘Answering the Phone’ also has an audio function, so you can practise the pronunciation (please note the audio function wil not work when opening the pdf in a browser, it will need to be opened using a pdf reader such as Adobe Reader to access this functionality).
