Journalism across the world 2023
Online sessions discussing the work and experiences of journalists who work, or have worked abroad, and the importance and role of the Welsh language in their career. It is an opportunity for students, learners, pupils and academics interested in journalism to hear from, and question a host of journalists. Megan Davies, 15 February 2023, 5.30pm (WATCH THE RECORDING) A journalist who has worked for Vogue in Paris before returning to Wales to work for BBC Wales. Andy Bell, 15 March 2023, 7.00pm (WATCH THE RECORDING) Journalist, producer and reporter who has worked in Australia for over three decades and is the 'voice of Australia' for Welsh-language media.
Hwb - Essential Skills (Urdd)
The Hub offers bespoke qualifications and training in the key subjects, Communication, Numeracy and Digital Literacy. Individuals can work towards Entry 2 to Level 3 Essential Skills qualifications, or work to improve skills while undertaking another program of learning. The Hub is open for training providers for them to be able to refer learners who wish to undertake Essential Skills qualifications through the medium of Welsh.
